How to automate BTC step by step
- Create a CoinEx API key with trading enabled and withdrawals disabled, then add it to your encrypted Axiom Finance vault.
- Pick the BTC/USDT market and configure a strategy — grid, breakout, funding fade or your own indicator rules.
- Backtest it, then run rolling walk-forward validation. If the strategy only worked on the data it was tuned on, the verdict says so.
- Run it in paper mode against live prices. Promote it to live capital only once you have seen how it behaves — and start small.
What our own research says about BTC strategies
We ran roughly 3.5 million backtests and published the failures alongside the one result that survived. These verdicts apply to the strategy families you can run here, and none of them is a forecast.
- This is the most efficiently priced corner of crypto. Spreads are tight enough that execution cost is rarely the reason a strategy fails here — the reason is that the inefficiency you found was noise. Expect walk-forward to be harsh, and treat it as the feature rather than the bug.
- Price-indicator strategies — no configuration we tested survived rolling multi-fold walk-forward validation. Single flattering backtests are exactly what walk-forward is there to catch.
- Drawdown Shield — a trend filter plus volatility targeting cut maximum drawdown by roughly 35-40% in backtests. It is a risk tool, it is backtest-only today, and it is not an alpha claim.
